More About Andrée

Andrée has long been captivated by the beauty of the North Shore. The landscapes and seascapes. The people. And the homes. She has built, renovated, styled and staged them. Her own landscape visions have been featured on multiple garden tours. Her impeccable style is her hallmark.

Well known in her past professional life as the executive chef, general manager and co-owner of the beloved Grand Dame of Boston restaurants, Maison Robert, Andrée spent decades there with her parents, Lucien and Ann Robert, delivering gracious hospitality and magical experiences. If you have celebrated a birthday, anniversary or engagement in Boston, you know that Dover Sole and Chateaubriand followed by the buttery Tarte Tatin at the MR table marked a milestone more than a meal. Creating those special moments is Andrée’s passion and they don’t happen by accident. It is meticulous planning, thoughtfulness and preparation that result in wondrous events, and creating spectacular real estate moments are no different.  Andrée elevates attention to detail, has curated a perfect formula for client care, and deftly leverages the powerful tools and global network that Engel & Völkers provides to create a predictable and joyful outcome for her clients, whether buying or selling a home.

Andrée and her husband, Tom Burger, are passionate supporters of the arts on Cape Ann. They were integrally involved with Rockport Music during the building of the Shalin Liu Performance Center, now regarded as one of Rockports dearest treasures, and she proudly contributes on their Council. Andrée has been on the boards of both the Gloucester Stage Company and the Cape Ann Symphony, and enjoys involvement in many other local organizations and charities, including the Cape Ann Museum.  She is an avid tennis player and has even won a USTA national championship! She plays at the MAC in the winter and at Bass Rocks in the summer.  She walks on the beach every morning with her English springer spaniel Lafite (as in Chateau) and marvels at the beauty of the ocean. She is a graduate of the Winsor School and Barnard College. NYC was fun but Cape Ann stole her heart!
