Manchester-by-the-Sea is a storybook seaside community of 8 square miles with over 12 miles of shoreline and beaches, and one of the four communities of Cape Ann. Manchester enjoys a quaint downtown Village that circles the inner harbor, and is home to the historic and prestigious Manchester Yacht Club and the Essex County Club, both established over a century ago. Many of the grand shingle style mansions chronicled in coffee table books reside along the shores of Smith’s, Norton’s and Gale’s Points. The Town’s population remains at a relative constant of just below 6,000, with under 2000 homes in total.
